Legal
Terms & Conditions
Last updated 19 July 2026. Please read these terms before using this
site, the timeline-lens npm package, or the browser
extension.
Acceptance
By using this site, you agree to these terms.
These terms are between you and Huudi ("we", "us"), the operator of
this website and the developer of timeline-lens. They
cover this website, the timeline-lens npm package, and
the Timeline Lens browser extension (together, "the software"). If
you don't agree with any part of these terms, please don't use the
software.
See our Privacy & Cookies Policy for how we and our providers (Google Analytics, Extension Pay) handle data.
The software
A read-only debugging tool, provided as-is.
timeline-lens is a visual debugger for GSAP, CSS and
Web Animations API animations. It is read-only: it detects and
displays animations that already exist in your code and never
creates, edits, or exports anything. The npm package is distributed
under the MIT license — see the
GitHub repository
for the full license text. The browser extension is distributed
through the Chrome Web Store and is subject to Google's own
Chrome Web Store terms in addition to these terms.
Acceptable use
Use it to debug, not to disrupt.
When using this website or the software, you agree not to:
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to this website or any systems behind it.
- Reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the browser extension outside of the Chrome Web Store's own terms.
- Use the software to build a competing product from its source without complying with the MIT license's attribution terms.
- Misrepresent your affiliation with Huudi, GSAP/GreenSock, or Motion — this project is not affiliated with or built by either.
Extension payments
Pro is billed through Extension Pay.
The browser extension is free to install. The Pro upgrade is a one-time $9.99 purchase — not a subscription. Purchasing and license verification is handled entirely by Extension Pay and its payment processor, Stripe. Your purchase is subject to Extension Pay's own terms of service in addition to these terms. We don't process or store your payment details ourselves. Refunds and billing disputes are handled per Extension Pay's own policies — contact [email protected] if you need help routing a request.
Intellectual property
The brand is ours, the code is MIT.
The Timeline Lens name, logo and this website's design are owned by
Huudi. The timeline-lens npm package's source code is
MIT licensed and free to use, modify, and redistribute under the
terms of that license. GSAP and its trademarks belong to GreenSock;
this project is an independent, unaffiliated tool for inspecting
GSAP (and other) animations.
Warranty & liability
Provided as-is, no warranty.
This website and the software are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Huudi is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website, the npm package, or the browser extension, including any paid features billed through Extension Pay.
Changes
We may update these terms.
We may revise these terms from time to time, for example as the browser extension's feature set changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the website or software after a change means you accept the updated terms.
